Take a step back in time to visit Ancient Egypt, here in Barcelona! The extensive gallery space showcases almost one thousand exhibits from the ancient culture, offering visitors a fascinating insight into the day to day life, culture and customs of the Ancient Egyptians. On display are mummies, sarcophagi, amulets, jewellery and more.

Entrance to the Egyptian Museum includes access to the permanent and temporary exhibitions, with audio guide available in four languages (Catalan, Spanish, English or French). Guided tours of the collections are included in the ticket price (selected days and times). Led by Egyptologists, the tours offer visitors a deeper understanding and knowledge of Egyptian civilisation and culture.

Timetable

Winter: Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. From January 8th to June 21st and September 12th to November 30th – closed from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Summer: June 22nd to September 11th: Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Easter: Easter Week and holidays: Monday to Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm. Sunday 10:00am to 2:00pm.
